About us

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can change a life and create a better future.
We are a group of young motivated intellectuals from all walks of life united by a vision that together we can influence the course of knowledge and push the boundaries of science towards a sustainable future for every living being.

Our Founder's Message

Our mission is to spread awareness about the global challenges and climate change and to find viable solutions which can be implemented on a decentralized scale to bring about cognitive, behavioral, and operational change in our daily lives. We aim at mass scale harnessing of the elemental natural resources of air, water, food and energy at individual household-level to make a sustainable ecosystem. We believe in making healthcare accessible and affordable for all. We deliver outreach primary healthcare and sustainable solutions to the communities deprived of the basic resources provided by this planet to everyone. We align in full solidarity with the United Nation’s Initiative of Sustainable Development Goals. We strongly second the thought of linking our economies with the concept of sustainability to furnish an ecology-centered market.

What We Believe?

We believe all humans deserve basic human rights – the right to food, air, water, health and energy. These elemental resources of this planet should be accessible to everyone equally and should be harnessed by everyone using sustainable practices.

How it Started

This all started when we, a group of avid mountaineers working in different fields ventured to the remote offbeat regions of Himalayas for an expedition and realised the lack of knowledge and logistics for casualty evacuation in case of any medical emergency. We further noticed there is no source of electricity in many of the households making wood to be the only dependent fuel, schools are located at distances of one to two hours from villages and had no staffing. The waste is disposed openly, has collected overtime and stinks with no further disposal. The drains are open clogged with litter and flowing into the rivers. Deforestation is being done at a massive rate. It made us imagine how the lack of awareness, education, logistics and planning among these communities, plastic packaging for most of the consumer goods and the exhaustive tourism have pushed them from sustainable to unstable. Even the preserved ecosystems of natural parks and sanctuaries are at stake now. After returning back our vision to see the world changed. We saw the scale of waste generation, carbon emissions, lack of elemental resources – food, drinking water, clean air, electricity, education, healthcare and dilapidated living conditions in the under-privileged communes of developed cities and rural areas. This motivated us to start Immortal Banyan Initiative where we connect the willing with the needy to bring the change at the grass root level. Today we carry out awareness campaigns & drives, run day-clinics, establish casualty evacuation chains, provide logistic support, train and develop skill, enhance capacity of existing infrastructure, innovate alternative solutions taking a sustainable approach leading a way forward for future generations.
